I Hate My DSM, or My DSM Hates Me [Merged 12-8]

Well, I cant say I have had any random problems like that. I cant say I have ever had a wheel just fly off. If it did im sure there had to be some type of serious vibration before hand.On a good note I found a mint 91 trans and xfer case for 300 buck:thumb: i crown myself the hookup king.

What do you know, with all the supporting mods in place this car is actually starting to get fun:p

let me tell you what happened yesterday folks..

i just bought my new SBR g50 and it runs like a champ except for fuel cut that is..anyways,after doing all this and adding my 2g mani and tial 35mm,i had to replace that gasket from the mani to the tial..so i went about my buisness(on my work break) and took the tial off only to snap a bolt and have the tial swing down and put a gash in the radiator..needless to say im pissed right now but its not that big of a deal to me..ill have it up and running by the end of the weekend hopefuly..

and btw,ill be down in dc this weekend i think..if i decide to come down i want to see your car man..it looks sweet from the pics..
 
The fact that it spends more time at the dealership than at my house.

But I still love my DSM.

my car did the same thing, turned out my grounds wernt grounding properly, i bought some new ones and it turned right over no problem.
 
turns out it was the alternator AND battery AND connections.
all that sh!t was bad.
changed it out with a new automatic transmission alternator which is 15ams higher than the manual one, and its runnin great.
 
everytime i do something good for my car something bad happens. today i was driving down to meet up some people and right when i was getting to the place 40 miles away from home my clutch line pops out of its bracket and stays in gear.
 
I've been having a problem with my lauches on my gsx ... everytime it starts really grabbing ( around 5k ) it would misfire. People were telling me it's the clutch ( becauseof how it jerks ) but I didn't believe it. Anyways, last night one of my friends wanted to make sure his timing belt was on right on his tsi so he brought the timing gun over to my house to see how mine is. Turns out that I'm getting misses like crazy on cylinders 1 and 4 and a little on 2 and 3. 1 and 4 are on the same coil pack, but I meassured the resistance on the coilpack and it came out fine. What could be wrong now??? Anything else I can measure that would lead to my problem? Thanks.
 
I just do... every single thing has broken on my car at least once totaling up to $11,000 in repairs alone!!! WHEN THE FUK AM I GOING TO BE ABLE TO PUT SOME $$ IN THIS DAMN THING TO MAKE IT FAST!!! GOOOOODDDDDDDAAAAMMMMMMITTTT!!!!


To make it short, my clutch master cylinder just got replaced... been cruising now for 2 weeks and now my clutch slave cylinder is bad!! IT WONT GO IN GEAR AND IT LEAKS SHIT OUT THE BOTTOM BOOT ON THE SLAVE!! THIS IS AFTER 3 MOTORS, NEW CLUTCH, NEW EVERYTHING, EXCEPT THE CLUTCH HYDRAULIC SYSTEM! EVERY FUKN TWO WEEKS SOMETHINGS BREAKS ON THIS PEICE OF SHIT! It's no wonder why there are over 15,000 post in the 'problems diagnosis" forum and only 3,000 in tuning! BECAUSE EVERYONE IS TOO BUSY FIXING THEIR POS DSM's RATHER THAN HAVING FUN, GOING FAST, AND TUNING THEM, AND ABOVE ALL SPENDING MONEY ON PERFORMANCE AND NOT REPAIRS!!! I HATE THIS FUKIN CAR!!!


But for some stupid fukn reason i still wanna keep it. There, I'm done venting!
 
I do have a problem... I won't stop fixing this POS! I should see a phsychiatrist.

Other than that, this forum did help me identify the problem with my clutch slave cylinder. It's leaking out the boot, so the problem has been diagnosed by me. The other problem is just me. ;)

Well man, usually the clutch slave and master cylinder go around the same time. And three motors? I would guess this is maybe for the simple fact you may have bought some bad engines at a junk yard...but I dont know. If you cant keep up with the car just sell it, something will always be breaking or need adjusting.
 
heh and I thought my $6K in repairs was bad...well in my case the car FINALLY started to work for almost half a year now..the first year with it was hell it was in the shop more than I could drive it.

I've decided from this point on though I will be diving in and fixing it myself.
 
Holy... time to get a morphine drip.

If you would have done your research you would have known to replace both at the same time ;)
