I got GReddy knob now boots ugly , look

Im trying to see what you guys have done cause i know there are many GReddy shift knobs . I bought the shifter today and the boot looks UGLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLY , look

I think I read that somebody wrapped a bunch of electrical tape around right under the neck of the boot so it doesn't slide down...??? Not sure though.

naw just pull it up and put a zip tie or 2 under the neck, where you want it.

just dont try to make youre stock shifter shorter by threading the shaft all the way down. the stock unit is hollow and youll thread till it just pops off and then youre screwed. try the wire ties, those are always helpful, or electrical tape it on the shaft(under the boot) so where it stays but it cant be seen.

The zip tie thing worked for me until I took the console out again, then my tie fell off... I tried to put another on but it wouldn't close enough. I'm thinking a washer w/ the right sized opening would work well, but I'm too lazy to try it at this point.

I bought a B&M short shifter, since the shifter height is smaller there is no gap.

the shop was out of B&M's . Come thur (payday) that shifter is mine !

outch man. Since im in school there have been so many times where im like IM DONE , spending time and money and this stupid stupid car. Then i look out side and say STOP LOOKING AT ME LIKE THAT ! ..now im getting a paint job soon .... we have a love hate relationship

same prob on mine...i just cut a piece of hose the distance to make the boot reach bottom of knob, then put it under and reattatched dash. it fits perfect and looks like it was a normal height.

i have a b&M short shifter, was a lil shorter in length than stock but not short enough for me, so i cut it in half, cut of a section and rewelded it. check my profile for an interior pic. looks good and has worked fine for a yr

I am guessing you figured it out by now, but all I did with mine was wrap electrical tape around the shift arm before putting the boot on. It keeps it up perfect. I have the same Greedy knob. Its nice, except it needs to be more climate controlled...

Yep it reached 92 roughly a few days ago and ouch. When it was winter time I had to take mine in the house at night.

thats so true man. I went to shift the other day it was using a fireball shifter , shift (mother f@#$) ....
