Just scratch what you can off and scrub them down with a scotch brite pad and acetone. Just dont let the acetone soak on them for longer than you need to and they will turn out just fine.

BLACK do everything black. It looks real clean. A friend with a turbo 420a has whole interior black with blue racing seat belt harnesses. Looks real nice compared to my gray interior. Brake cleaner is the way to go. Or sand with 1000 grit and paint.

1000 grit wont do anything.

There's this awesome stuff called plastidip spray paint. You've probably seen stuff in a can used for electrical work. This is same stuff just in spray form. Just prep the surface with wax and grease remover. No sanding required. Spray it on in lite coats. It's very durable and can be used on rims also bc it's oil and corrosion resistant. If you don't like it just get a toothpick and scrape it a little bit and it peels right off. You can see applications of it used on youtube.

Spot on. May take some time, but brake fluid will work and shouldn't do any damage to your plastic pieces.
