Look what i got from Pick-N-Pull

Was searching around the lot and stumbled upon a 1g dsm that has only been here 10 days. i was happy to see that because i knew it would not have been picked to death. Lone behold i found that this car had a LED mod for the heater control Unit and the cluster. Sadly i was only able to get the cluster since i didn't bring a backpack or something.

$37 for this beauty.

Nice find! Wish it was a turbo cluster though. Changing the millage is "illegal" technically speaking, but there is way to match your millage if you have a drill and lot's of time on your hands

not a turbo cluster. i must have been too excited to even look. Do non turbo clusters work on turbo clusters?

Edit: i guess not maybe i can swap the gauges in it to my turbo cluster. would that work?

Edit: doesn't work either. Oh well. Maybe i can sell them to somebody that can use them

You don't need a drill, or a lot of time for that matter. Just tear it apart. You can turn the mileage on that to match what you have now. Its pretty easy to figure out once you have it apart

I have a 1990 cluster in my TSi white face with blue/green LED backing. Looks sweet at night.

I only see ebay ones for 2g turbo and NT and 1g NT theres these but they cost more Mitsubishi Gauge Glow Dials and Custom Gauges by SpeedHut

i didn't get totally screwed. i mean i got to see them light up but no, i'am selling them on the classifieds for only $45.00 so that way someone else can put them to use

well the problem i ran into is that the hash marks on the turbo overlay and the non turbo overlay are different AND n/t only go to 8k turbo equipped vehicles go to 9k. so ultimately if i did want to use this i would not have a very accurate tach.

Yea know what your looking for is halfthe battle.
I have found alot of great deals at the local pickapart.
But I too have gotten hosed.
I pulled a engine block only to find out it was cracked
luckily I seen the crack before I paid for it.
