Ok I found a 95' Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX AWD I called the person and the car has 73,000 miles on it, turbo, but the thing is pink but that can be fixed. What I was wondering is that she did not know what engine was in it all she knew was it was 2.0L Turbo and said it was a talon engine. Know would this car be a DSM or might it be something else?

ROFL ROFL A pink car.... that's awesome!!!!
"Real men wear pink shirts" but what do they drive? LOL
2.0 turbo is a 4G63
But if she couldn't tell what you kind of engine was in the car get ready to do alot of work to it. I promise you something has been neglected and will need fixing.

The engine is 4G63t. It is pretty common for people not to know what code an engine is if they aren't gear heads :thumb:

It should look similar to this...

I don't think that someone who doesn't know what the engine code is from their car would necessarily be neglecfull of it just because of the fact. Just make sure and get everything checked out and change the belts and such if you chose to buy it. Anyway, a pink car might be kind of cool to cruise in.

The engine will look "similar", minus the hard uperintercooler piping and greddy BOV and externeal wastgate ect..

Probable look closer to this:

Yeah, they might not know the engine code, but you definitely know as well as I do that these cars have to be well taken care of, tucked into bed, read a bedtime story, and given their vitamens on a daily basis.

But yeah, the motor you're looking at on here has about what, 4-5 thousand under the hood?
It'll look remotely similar ;)

LoL come on guys. He's new to DSMs anyways, I really didn't think he would have realized all those things that we tend to drool over haha...It was a mere effort to get a quick informative response..SO BACK OFF hahaha.

Aye Im most likely going to get this car I have a 99' Mitsubishi Eclipse GS non-turbo right now and god I love it but just would take to much to upgrade the engine in it. The 95' has 73,000 miles on it while my car has 93,000 times on it but when I got my car it had around 70,000.

So what do you think this is a good buy 73,000miles 95' Eclipse DSM Turbo (pink). Over my 99 Eclipse GS non-turbo. :)

No I haven't the car is 73miles away so im tring to figure all the other facts out first that it is what I want. She says it runs good and all but it does seem as if there is a catch in it for 4,500 obo. So if it does come down to it aye I will test drive it.

Well definitely test drive it before you buy it haha. 4300 doesn't seem TOO low, it's a low price but not extremely low.(the pink could have played a factor in people wanting to buy it) Have you seen the car? Is it cosmetically sound, so to say. That could be another reason for a low price.

Sounds like a good find bro. Although its kind of weird that someone would paint their car pink and not be into modding it.

You know, come to think of it a girl I used to work with wanted to get a Honda S2000 and paint it candy pink.

Ok so when I go to look at this thing what are there some specific things I should look at. Like what on the engine should I look at and what to avoid if I see it. I know some things like cracked belts and oil leaks but anything else special?

yeah just check all of your belts and hoses, then i would have every thing that has fluid serviced just to be on the safe side. fitlers (fuel and air) should also be checked and replaced if need be. Brakes are a must LOL.

If you are not really familiar with these car then it's kind of hard to pick things out when they are out of place.

Check for cracked belts/hoses
check that the turbo shaft has 0 play in it.
Other standard stuff, Ac works, shifts corectly ect.

If you do get it I would make sure and change all the belts as well as all your fluids: oil brake, tranny. and the fuel and oil filters.

God I would want a pink car so badly. Put unicorns on it and stuff. Then when you beat the wigger civics drivers and redneck camaros you can blow them a kiss goodbye. That would be the worst kind of ownage ever.
