holy crap,,, im going on the high way NOT SPEEDING OR ANYTING. BOOM !!!!. I got a hole in the front of my engine, AND the starter, or w/e is attached to the tranny in the front ripped out!!! wow! where can i get a new engine?? any suggestions,?? i would love to get a build up engine i could just drop in.. anyting!!

well exileracing.com has a pretty cool service for 1800they will build you a compleat bottom end short bolck and all. Or you could go the junkyard route and strip it down and build it up using either conceptillusions.com, howellautomotive.com, or go to importparts.com. The ERT.com is proly the most convient way seeing how the blue print the block, blance the crank ect. where if you went with the do it your self route you would have to pay extra to get that crap done by someone else.

do you know if for that 1800 they rebuild your existing engine block, or if thats to rebuild your old one,,,, cuz i have like 2 holes in my eninge....

Start searching engine shops, junk yards, and auctions for a 420a. My buddy got one for his 96 ESI for $100 complete (all manifolds, wiring, and ECU). Another friend got a 2.4 out of a newer Stratus for his 1g Neon RT for $75 Complete. Keep searching, you'll find one.

Also, I don't think I spent more than $1000 on my bottom end, but I did it all myself. I got JE 8.1 Pistons, Eagle Rods, block .020 over, bedplate and crank 10/10, clevitte 77 rod and crank bearings, and fully balanced rotating assembly.

Well I'm having a sepreate 420a being built right now, and I'm planning on throwing the new built motor in, I might get rid of the block and head from my current motor (I fried the rings on this one and probably the head gasket), but thats all that was wrong with it. about 130K on it, but I dunno if I'll get rid of it. but if I my new motor is up to par and I feel confident in selling it, I'll give u a buzz.

hey, im looking into that short block from exileracing.com for the 1800. How much power can i expect from someting like that?
