I cant remember where i saw it on here but some guy had an adapter to bolt his holset to the stock 2g manifold and it even cleard the water pipe. Does anyone know what im talking about? I really want this peice for my set up, or my other idea was to make one by hand from some heavy box steal and two thick plates. I dont know if those metals could take the heat or not but i think it would be cool to make one to.

^^^^^How low does the turbo sit with that adapter on there? What are you using as a downpipe or 02 housing?
It sits low, but the oil still drains ok. I had to grind a little bit off the motormount so the compressor cover didn't hit it. On the plus side, it helps miss the alternator by sitting the turbo lower.
The whole thing is "custom" there isn't anything you can buy pre fabbed for that particular turbo. The whole exhaust consists of a 3" mandrel bend with a vband and is only 8" long. Its almost as quiet as my full 2.5"dp 3"Cb exhaust with my old HX40 though, that is until 8psi or so then she gets loud like a normal open o2.

I just posted the adapter to give an idea of what he could do if he was looking to build an adapter.

Thats exactly what i was imagining to do. What did you use for metal? And how did you cut it out? It would allow for custom mounting the turbo to miss the water pipe and maybe even the rad, which would be cool. Well i think im going to try it out this weekend and see how it turns out.:thumb:

I used stuff out of the junk pile at my parents farm. Couple sizes of pipe and the flat piece. Literally out of the junk pile. Cut it out using an oxy-acetylene torch and welded with a stick welder. Its ghetto, but it works and is strong.

I bet, it looks bomb proof. I have some scrap metal i can make it with, the problem is cuting it though i guess ill just have to use a angle grinder or something and a cut off saw.
