I need to know the difference between an hx35 7 vs 8 blade compressor housing. Don't tell me to count the blades. I'm strictly talking about the housing as if it was just housing vs housing. I can't find the info on it, I've looked through the holset forums. Thanks!

The 8 blade has a larger compressor inducer, therefore the inlet on the cover is slightly larger to accept the compressor wheel...So a cover from a 8 blade won't fit a 7 blade wheel correctly. And vice versa. There are also many different cover molds. What sort of info are you looking for in particular?

Physically there should be no difference except most 8-blade HX35's are 56mm on the inducer and most 7-blade HX35's are 54mm....so they're not interchangeable in that sense. Physical size of the housing should be the same- all MWE-ported HX35's have a 4" inlet and the non-ported covers have a 3" inlet. Some have a v-band outlet, some have a 2.5" hose coupling, and some have a 2" hose coupling depending which particular model you get.
