I have a few questions here that i couldnt find answers for in the search. I have a Hx25w with a v band exhaust. I herd the v band models do not allow for the bolton hot side? Am i right or wrong here?

And the bolton hot sides come with the internal 38mm gate, i know everyone goes external but can i utilize the internal gate with out leaking, creeping or inconsistant opening?

There is four bolts and two u plates that the bolts go through, that hold it together. So it must not be the v band style. And anyone with experience with the internally gated bolton holsets wana speak up!

Hx25w? I'm sure you mean HX35W, which has a bolt on turbine housing, you can purchase the bolt on housing with internal gate through BEP, if you have the HY35 you cannot, they have a clip that holds the housing on the CHRA which nobody makes a housing for.

There is a huge thread about Holsets in the turbo tech section, you might want to look around in there for a few hours, you will learn alot about Holsets.

With the .55 BEP housing you "should" not have any issues with creep.

I've read people creeping with the bolt-on housing and internal gate. The holset wastegate actuator is known to be much stronger than the stock Mitsu ones, so having the gate leak or blow open shouldn't be an issue.

Also, are you sure you have an HX-35w? 4 bolts connecting the CHRA to the exhaust housing is usually something you would see on a WH1C, although you can still use the same bolt-on housing. Is the compressor cover held on by a clamp? or bolts?

Its held on by what looks like a huge snap ring. Ill take pictures if needed but i says right on the stamped lable Hx35w. And i know i should search but seriously its alot easyer to have some on just tell me what im looking for in my own thred, then me spend hours wasteing time on all the 6 huge holset threds trying to find the info i need. I guess even if it leaks or creeps i could just weld it open and run a external...
