Well after a few years of collecting parts and starting and stopping the build of my HX52 the day of finishing it is finally approaching.
I got my HX52 back in 06 maybe even 05. I had already built 2 cars with a HX35. The Holset's are just great turbo's and they just work. I had popped my HG on my warped head after a water pump failure in Las Vegas when I had my HX35 on. I had compromised a lot during that build and I finally decided that I wasn't going to compromise this time around and so it took me a very long time to get the parts I wanted. The last part would be getting the head assembled and machined which I finally just got done and now everything is starting to go together and in the car.

Holset HX52

Revised HLA's (Lifters)
FFWD King Kams
Fidenza Adjustable Cam Gears
ATI Super Dampener
FFWD Forward Facing Filter Bracket
Gates Racing Timing Belt
1650cc Blue Max FIC injectors

50mm Tial Q BOV
24x12x4" FMIC w/3" IC piping
Their is a lot more but those are the broad strokes. I decided it was time for some pics so I went into the garage and snapped a few tonight. Please don't pick on my mess as my 2 car garage is way to small for the car and all the various other stuff I have collected through the years.
So here is the engine in it's current state. It's just waiting for my Degree wheel to get here to degree in the cams and then it's ready to install the rest of the lifters and put the covers on it and install.

Here is a good shot of the FFWD King Kams lobes. They are quite large and dwarf a lot of other cams out their. They are not really a great street cam and are meant for max effort engines with top end power in mind.

Here is a few shots of the firewall and front of the car. I'm currently rebuilding the wiring harness and removing and moving a lot of things. The task looks daunting when you see it all at once.

And here are a few pics of some of the parts just laying around awaiting installation.

Oh yeah almost forgot the duel pump hanger. I had to move the tank down some to be able to fit the AN fitting under the stock covers. I'm waiting for a few new short radius AN fitting to come in to give it a little more room.

Ok so that is it for now. In the next week I hope to have the motor and tranny installed and most of the wiring finished. Then it's putting the MegaSquirt in and actually getting it started.
