So I started the process of getting the head off and I was stalled pretty quickly. I don't understand how to unplug the injector connectors(or really any of the connectors that have red tips). I see if you take the metal band off it will allow me to pull it out but I don't understand how that would ever be pushed back into place when I plug the injector connectors back in. I figure there must be some way of doing it that I do not know. Thanks

I use a small jeweler's screwdriver to pop off those wire spring clips when removing those kinds of connectors that had to be held securely in place.

Then, when putting on the clips again, I can spread them apart gradually to where they are snug around the connector, but not seated in the groove yet. Then, after the connection is good, I just push down the clip and they go into place real easy.
