How to tune my car?

I want to get a tuner device like the diablosport for a mustang which one is recommended for dsm's

Ecmlink V3 available on ECMTuning, Inc. they have both v3lite and v3 full package available depending on budget and goals. It just as good or better then AEM and 1/2 the cost. IMO SAFC/NEO or anything else just doesnt compare.

Yeah go with either ECMLink or DS-Map(SD). ECMLink has a lot more features than SD but if you want to have a SD setup without V3 link you get Jackal.

As far as I know, they havent developed Jackal for 2g's yet but its been a while since I was on the ds-map forums...ECMLink seems to be the #1 choice, but since your car is a 98 it should have a flashable ecu...just another option you could look at
