How to run DSMlink on a Palm?

Im getting a treo300 palm with OS 3.5, how do I run DSMlink on this? How do I connect the phone to the ECU. Anyone running DSMlink on a palm? Thanks for the help.

I'm pretty sure DSMlink only works with a PC (laptop). Hopefully for you, others can tell you otherwise. Check their website for pretty much any question you have.

The website says it can be done on an OS3.5 or later, but I was wondering how you connect the palm to the ECU. I researched some more and found that I can buy a usb harness for the palm, then get a usb serial port hub and use that to connect to the ecu. Anyone here running dsmlink and a palm and what features you cant use without a laptop?

Honestly, if you've purchased their tool, you can probably find out the answers to your questions from their site. Glad to hear that your Palm can work with this (I'm thinking seriously about buying DSMlink, and I have a Palm but not a laptop, so this is great news for me). Everyone says that their support forum is awesome.

Be cautious about USB, as I've done some investigation and found some incompatibilities with OBDII interfaces and USB Palms. Since you have a 1G, you may be worse off with pre-OBDII.

Bottom line: check their site.

Thanks for the info, I have a laptop also just thought it would be kind of cool to datalog on my phone.
