Searched but couldn't find any info. How do I take out the rear motor mount?

....I just welded my rear rollstop into one piece.

This worked for me (i have a FWD):
  1. First jack the car up 6+ inches and put it on a very stable jack/block combo. I used the front crossmember and a cinderblock standing the correct way (holes up and down not side to side) and added bricks standing the correct way (holes up and down not side to side).
  2. Remove all the upper intercooler piping front tower strut bar (if you have one), battery, air box/airfilter/intake piping so you can even see the damned thing.
  3. You then can get a wrench/wratched on to the passenger side bolt on the frame. you have to go at it from the hole you made removing to above junk.
  4. Then go under the car from the front drivers side and get the two drivers side bolts. You CAN get a ratchet in there... but it's tighter than a ...
  5. The bolt are really snug. If I were patient, I would have gotten some PB Blaster (best stuff in the world) and sprayed them once a day for several days and wrapped on the bolts with a wrench each time. so CAUTION: YOU MAY ROUND THE SHOULDERS OF THE BOLTS IF YOU DON'T USE A 6-POINT SOCKET . All the bolts are 14mm

Hope this helps :)

EDIT: Crap! Just realized that you have a 2g. This was my 1g I did this on... maybe it will point you in the right direction, though.

To remove the rear motor mount on a 2g the easy way....

Take out battery, take out upper intercooler piping.
Get a 14mm on a universal adapter with an extension and get it on the nut on the passenger side of the rear mount... right in the center of it.
Get a 14mm box wrench, put it on the driver side of the mount... try to get it close to rear subframe as it will lodge in place once you start loosening it. (yes, the wrench may fall, but once you crack it free, you can hold it in place afterwards)

Then, get a couple feet worth of extensions and the 14mm socket and go in behind the intake manifold.
These will be tight and will probably make funny noises coming out.
If you can, spray some PB Blaster from underneath to clean them up some before you try to take them out

Once you get those 3 bolts out, you just have to wiggle it out of place and weave it through the coolant/heater lines and the shifter cables. All in all, not a hard job if you have the right tools ;)
