I have a 98 non turbo 2.0l I'm trying to replace timing belt and I can't remove the motor mount on the t-belt side. How do u get the bolts out so you can remove them mount from the block? Please help i worked on it all day and cannot figure it out.

I have a 1G , so I can't give exact instructions, but make sure that you've taken the load off of the mount by jacking the engine up a little. Use a piece of wood bwtween the jack and the pan so you don't dent it. jack until the engine raises up a bit.

You should also get a haynes manual at least for some information. Be careful though, haynes is known for making mistakesm from time to time.

I have the motor lifted with a jack, but the problem is the bolts are approx 4-5"long and I can't back them out because i only have about 1 1/2 in or clearance, and u can't lift or lower the motor enough to remove them, I have a shop helping me do this and the last one they did they just cut the bolt with a torch and and they we able to get the last bolt out by twisting the mount and they only reinstalled 2 bolts back to the mount and didn't bother with the third. I want all my motor mount bolt to be reinstalled. I was thinking of maybe taking a hole saw and cutting a hole in the body to remove the bolt from that hole.
