Is there any way to read Knock itself or RAWknock on Dsm Link V3. I don't want to know knock retard, i want to know actual knock. I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Also if i have a small exhaust leak will that mess with my A/F ratio on my wideband guage? (It's set at the rear o2)

Also how can i adjust my ignition timing? (where)

Yeah if you have a leak your wideband will read wrong get it fixed.Use the timing sliders to adjust the timing or do into direct access and edit those.Try loading a evo map and making adjustments to that.It will tell you knock right on your logs.

Go to captured values and select rawknock, then go to displayed values and move it from 'available' to 'to be displayed'.

Ign timing sliders are located in the ECUConfig tab to the left hand side of the main screen. Click it and go to the tab marked 'timing'. Highlighting the dots will also highlight the corresponding rpm range in the box to your left on the timing screen.

And yes any exhaust leak pre-wideband will affect it's reading because it's subjected air from outside the combustion process.

so, if my exhaust manifold is glowing and people are telling me to adjust my ignition timing, i have it at 2k rpm- 9, 2.5k rpm- 9, 3k rpm- 10 all the way down to 8k rpms. why is it still glowing and i still can't find the raw knock. where is captured values?

KnockRetard = KnockSum * 90/255 (or ~1/3)
KnockSum = KnockRetard * 255/90 (or ~3)

KnockSum = Counts of Knock

KnockVoltage is pointless to look at, 4 volts can equal 30 Knock Counts or zero.
Its only real use is finding the ambient noise level of your engine/bay.

Sillylepricon, have you checked your mechanical timing? Ign timing doesn't mean anything unless your base is set properly.

Thanks for the technical definition Ceddy!

try adding timing if it isnt knocking...the glowing manifold is usually a sign of fuel combusting inside the manifold due to LACK of timing
