Finally got my evo scan to work after almost half a year/ wonder why check the threads I've started.
So now I'm just starting to play with evoscan and the evoscan forum is junk.
How do I log knock on evoscan. I'm reading zero knock sum. Is there something I have to change. I know my car is knocking some how.

Check "knock sum" in the evoscan front window and make sure you're logging with the DSM input and not the evo/3g input.

Are you able to log any other parameters?

Yes sir. I could log the rest but somehow knock sum isn't reading.
First i had it on dsm/3000gt/ <---- whatever then It doesn't work. Then I put it on MUTII or something and still didn't work. Now I left everything uncheck except for 1.3 cable selection and now it reads.

Which version of the 1.3 cable are you using? I don't have my laptop on me, so I don't remember which I have to check for my 2g since I usually only use it on my 3g.

Have you tried using the 2.0 input? It should tell you on evoscan which version of the cable you have.

Weird its not working right for you man because were running the same setup (albiet I have a 98 gst ecu in my 97) but im using the same cables and everything and works flawlessly for me as well for my 97 ecu.

What you can try is download the ceddyrom files here http://ceddy.us/?page_id=16

follow the instructions on the site and extract the evoscan file (for w/e version your running) into the designated folder instructed on the website That will change a couple files in evoscan around that are dsm friendly. Dont worry about the other files in the zip file. After u put that file into evoscan folder and boot up evoscan, if the values arent moved around and it still looks the same that'll be somethin else, lemme know if thats the case.

But if the values change in evoscan(you'll be able to tell) then set the baudrate to 15625 and the timeout ms to 1000 with Mitsubishi MUTIII checked. Make sure in the "select ECU" EFI is selected and only try to log throttle position and knock sum. If it connects go for a ride and see if the knock sum value changes AT ALL. Post back with results.

Thanks I'll try it out!
