I'm assuming you mean EGR?

Check here...step by step guide:

Here is a link for a block off kit. Check around, there are many companies that offer similar kits, this one may not be at the best price.

help on what is does for my car do i need it or not?

The EGR valve block off kit isn't really a performance mod...there is an argument out there that says if you block the EGR, then the air flowing into the motor is cooler which in theory should give you a little more power...but in reality if there is a gain it is so small that you can't accurately measure it...but the EGR valve does fill up with carbon and it ends up making your intake REAL dirty. If your state doesn't do emissions testing, I recommend blocking the EGR if only for the reason that everything else stays cleaner this way.

Correct me if im wrong, but from what I have read the egr valve truely only gets used at highway speeds. So depending on what your uses for the car are would determine if there is any gain from the mod.

Egr doesn't run at WOT anyway, its activated during part throttle application. It improves fuel economy and keeps the cylinder cooler which minimizes part throttle knock, and does its part for emission control. Removing it equals waste of time and is a downgrade. I don't have mine, but thats due to my intake manifold not having a provision for EGR, otherwise I'd run one. Why people remove it I don't know.

the main debate, or reason i guess you could say for removal is that most dont find it worth the time/money/effort to replace for when it goes bad. My moms went bad (granted different car) replaced it for her, a year later it went bad again, i refuse to install it for her again because i cant justify spending a good 50-75 a year on an egr for as little as it does.
