How to determine if running on all cylinders??

How can you test to see if your car is running on all cylinders??
Im listening to my exhaust and its not comming out as smoothly
Its the same through out the entire RPM range.

Check your spark and fuel delivery.
Exhaust leaks sound horrid.

Like just passed you stated, check the fuel and spark. If it still sounds bad, do a compression test.

You can also try with the car RUNNING one by one take a spark plug out. If the car changes the way its running then that cylinder is good, however if not, that cylinder is dead..
