Ok, I had this thread, where I thought I was having serious problems. Now I don't think they are that serious, but I'm still having them. What happens is the car runs fine after it has been sitting for several hours, then if it is shut off for about 15-20 minutes, when started back up its running on 3 cylinders. I just replaced the plugs and wires figuring that must be the problem, but no go. My next thought would be fuel injectors. Is that a good guess? The cylinder that doesn't appear to be firing is the farthest passenger side one. Or could it be the ignition coil? Its weird, it runs great until I turn it off.

I would suspect a ignitor (transister, ignition module) or a coil pack. Test them out, then move to fuel.

Test it for voltage and ohms and post your results.
Also, a cylinder not firing can also be attributed to a faulty CAS

Is there a faq for how to do this? I'm really trying to learn about fixing my own car, but I'm still pretty inexperienced.

I looked and couldn't find one, but I also didn't look very hard.

I'm wondering if Chiltons or Haynes have any information on testing them.
You can pick up dealership service manuals for these cars for like 30 bucks off of ebay. There is a ton of info in these manuals to learn from.

Yeah, I've got a Haynes, I'll take a look at that tonight. Thanks again for your help.
