How to adjust shifter cables

I understand were the 2 adjustment point are and what not, my ? Is how do I know I'm doing it right? 92 gsx with a jdm trans belivied to be from a galant, sometimes it's perfect other I have to double clutch and sometimes I can get I gear at all, fuild is topped off, I tested the synic all seam good. Have you tried adjusting your clutch master rod? If the hydraulic system is at fault it could do this to. Check for leaks around your master cylinder, lines and slave. Make sure its bleed and then bleed it again to b sure. Where's your clutch fork position at? The basic ideas should be the same.
