toronto,
just what the topic says is this stuff strong.
i want to use if partially to seal a intercooler pipe, along with couplers.

the two pipes will fit into each other, the overhang will be jb welded, and sealed with a coupler.

is this stuff strong enough for such a task? anyone with any experiences please let me know
thanks

Should be strong enough to seal air, yes. I wouldn't trust it to physically hold two pipes together though.

I have used it to stick back my BOV flange when I had my ghetto UICP and it is still holding to this day on another DSM...almost 2 years...

that was going to be my 2nd question.
it technically isnt holding two pipes together. the two pipes fit into eachother, one normal end and another tapered end. so all its doing is sealing.
thanks guys

My father used it to fix a crack in his radiator on his Camry. It held for quite a while, but not permanently. It's sealing a slight oil leak around a bolt right now on my car, and hasn't shown any signs of wearing down.

I'd use silicone instead. You may want to take that apart some day, and if the JB goes on it clean you never will.
