How much should I expect to get if I sell this DSM?

My friend is looking to sell his 91 Eagle Talon TSi AWD. It has 170,000 miles on the body and the engine was just rebuilt and has like 50 miles on it. The car is in good condition, just a few very tiny rust spots and the paint is new because the previous owner probably had it painted. The car is all stock except for a ACT 2600 clutch.

My friend thinks he is going to get $4000 for his car, what do you guys think?

$4000 on a 91? Is he nuts? that is like the value of a 94 Talon TSi AWD which is 3700. He might if he finds someone stupid, thats always possible but frankly the car is only worth about 1.5K-2.5K tops.

I also thing he wants to much money for his car I personaly If I was looking for a DSM, wouldnt pay over $2000 for his car. Just last week someone in our area sold a 91 TSi AWD Auto with 120k for $1800.

Wow, you guys are cheap. He should easily get 3200 for that with a rebuilt motor and a good paint job. 3200 but no more. Assuming the drivetrain and the rest of the car is in good condition also

Not where I live. He might be able to get $1500-2000 but thats about all.

Well when it sale's let us know. Just depends how bad the buyer whats it.

It depends on your area. Some places 1g's sell for like 1K. Other places people can sell them for the 4-5K your friend wants.
