Any idea's? 120 is definatly my goal, when I set out to build my car I had that figure in mind. So far I have a completely built motor and trans (dsmlink, blow through, large front mount, alky in the future etc), upgraded wheels tires, struts, springs, rotors, brake pads..........etc basically every thing I think I need to start going fast.

I know it's a little more difficult to get high traps out of an auto car and it will require more work, wich is fine cause I'm commited. My trans has a 4300 stall speed for the hole shot wich I understand might cause my traps to suffer, I guess all I need for that is a TC lock up controller? Mostly I was just wondering what kind of power has prooven to trap 120 in our 2g auto awd's.

I see lee trappin 130 and john tsi trappin 130 every body else like 106 - 111 LOL. Nice et's but the traps suffer a little. Any idea's or information is appreciated :thumb:

I don't know about the 2gs but I had a 50 trim with 272 cams, magnus intake race core intercooler, 2/1-2 exhaust full wieght with ac and power steering, and ran 11.1s at 122mph! If that helps any.

I would say a 60 trim, large cams and effecient FMIC plus the rest of the supporting mods would MAYBE get you close to that. The auto GSX has the worst drivetrain loss, probably close to 30%. I think it would benefit you greatly to look into a nicely ported head while you are taking it out to install the cams. Hopefully aside from the TQ converter you did some extensive work to the tranny in terms of an external tranny cooler and shift kit. Good luck with your project and keep us updated.

am I mistaken or is the 60 trim smaller than the 50 trim?

Did I forget to mention on pump 91 as well? :D The head is ported and polished as much as you'd want for a street engine and it's got a pretty nasty cam/front mount as well. The engine has wiseco 9:1 pistons and I was gonna try and get 26 psi (gt30r's sweet spot) with a bunch of alcohol.

Just by comparing compressor maps the gt3076r looks way more efficient than a 60 trim so I imagine that puts me near my mark.

Just to keep the thread less about my setup, I really just wanted to know about people who have done it and what they used to get their. I don't want to get my thread closed for bench racing. I just want to know about other fast cars trapping 120+ using the automatic tranny.

edit: BTW I know there are times lists but they give minimul information about their set ups. Please leave this thread open.

Nah, the 60trim is bigger than the 50 trim, its the 54 that is smaller. My fault, I didn't know what setup you already have, that is very commendable. Hopefully you have a fully built transmission. I know ONE person who have a automatic transmission who ran 11.98 @ 117 on a BR580 and 780cc's. His tranny had a 4200 stall converter, huge tranny cooler, IPT shift kit and an average suspension. Sadly, the tranny had grenaded on him 4 seperate times :( I think 115 is probably a good guesstimate for ya.
