For a street legal car, specifically the car that you are driving now. When will the mods stop and you'll be done?

I'm shooting for the 300-400 range :D

I'm shooting for 300-350hp to the crank, no reason to go to crazy around here, everyone hates "rice burners" and the rednecks camaro's are about the fastest thing to compete with. I might be lookin for more next year when I go to college and I swap to a manual/get a manual body to put my motor in.

I want 500-550. That would make me happy....I think.
To have a daily driven 500hp dsm would be friggin' sweet :thumb:
Then again, I always want more. no matter what.

500-600 would be my goal. I am at 300-350 now, and I want more.... nothing has broeken yet either. (knocking on wood) :talon:

This sounds really sad, but I'd just like to have 250 or so at the wheels... HEY, I'M STILL IN COLLEGE THOUGH!!! Damn you guys and your so-called "jobs".. :(

i want around 350 hp with daily driver reliability.

i would like a nice suspension, a built trans(4 spyder center diff, lsd, gvr4 first gear, steal shift forks), mild 6 bolt (8000 rpm) w/ a nice head and 2g pistons, 97-98 talon conversion. and i would never mod my car again.

also of course enough supporting mods to push that stuff to 350 hp with a quick spoolup

My problem is that 300-350whp is just too easy to get in our cars.
I like more of a challenge, hence 500+.

To all you guys still in school; it gets A LOT better once you graduate and start collecting that steady paycheck :thumb: I've gotten farther w/my DSM in the past 6 months than I ever did w/any other car before when I was in school. I graduated college 6 months ago :D I guess that depends on your priorities though.

The LS1 pwn5 j000000!!!!

Hey - only 3rd gen F-bodys are redneck Camaros! :p

Those LS1 drivers know that they are packing a powerful punch. Quite honestly if there's one weakness about the Camaro it's the rear end -- you can shatter it JUST by putting a set of sticky tires on the car and launching it from above 4000 RPMs (a testament to the serious power and torque they make right off the showroom floor). The solution? This is the sad part -- a 2000 dollar 12 bolt rear. Damn GM being cheap and putting the same rear differential they put in the Chevy S10!!

(by the way - it's not uncommon to come across 400+ RWHP Camaros, so be careful who you race! ;) )

Screw it, i've been modding for a while now, and all i've come up with is that I'm shooting for ~500whp out of a 2.3L DD. We'll see how many trannies i can break huh?
