Hi Folks,
I have a blue-ish 91 Talon TSI FWD auto and 450 cc injectors and 14 B turbo at 14 psi. I have a 6-bolt N/T block with N/T pistons at 8.5:1 and 6-bolt head. Bal shafts elim. I'm guessing 220hp?
the car spools up painfully slow @ 16 seconds 0 to 60 m.p.h.. I'm hoping a MAFT blow thru conversion will spool the turbo sooner. I just want it to be a daily driver that can get out of its own way. the 30 to 60 and 60 to 90 times are way better. I think a 2500 rpm stall converter is the answer to the off the line spool up problem I just wonder what it's like to live with that type of stall speed on the highway. I have another torque converter I could send out for mod however it came from an N/T car, and I have this TSI. Im not sure if its the same converter?
I have been reading and reading and reading for hours on end on dsmtuners.com. This site is such a huge wealth of knowledge. I already have implemented so many good fixes and mods. Thank you to all who have contributed and I hope to contribute something someday.
