How much HP does a bad Knock Sensor give up?

Hey Everybody,

I have my 91gsx down right now for rebuilding,but i was wondering i know that i had a bad knock sensor on it. When the KS trips a cel i kow it automatically shows 9 counts of knock at all time. I am just wondering roughly how much hp is this?Is it a seat in teh pants difference? My mods include: Ported 14b,buschar upper and lower intercooler pipes,Upgraded dejon tool smic with 2.5 inlets and outlets,b/s removed. Thanks

If its like a 2g it should be pulling about 3 degrees of timing.

Yup, you're losing 3 degrees of timing, probably 5-10 horsepower.

However, if the knock sensor is broken that means it's not sensing knock, which also means that it can't protect your motor.
