actually if built the non turbo motors are just as reliable and are more boost friendly than the vr4....trust me, i've had both. Plus if you stick with the fwd trans of a non turbo you wont be spending 6 thousand dollars everytime you break your drivetrain

500+.

Whats with all these dumb questions lately? Are there any mods around, all this non dsm crap.

Well I had a choice of spending 1500 on a 91 gsx that has a crap load of mods and due to the fact the guy the made it so you cant hook the egr up. I wanted to buy but I didn't want to fuss with it to pass echeck. So I found the stealth. And that is why I am asking you guys.

I remember an old power pages issue from import tuner mag. It was a special "budget build" issue I think. They picked up a 1g 3000gt with a blown motor, but a NT motor in it and supercharged it with a Thomas Knight supercharger kit. If I remember right it put down about 400 to the wheels but it was years ago so I could be wrong. I believe all the builds in the mag were under $10k including the price of the car which was about $1500. But considdering a friend of mine got a 92 VR4 with only 70k origional miles on it about a year ago for only $7000 it would probably be cheaper to find a VR4 than to build the NT.

terribly TERRIBLY wrong. Its a 3000gt bc it takes 3000 days for parts to be shipped, everythings 3000 dollars, and everythings 3000 times harder to find.
I had a 92 vr4, quite possibly the worst investment i've ever made. I had the last shep trans made for 3kgts and if you call him now the chances of him rebuilding a trans/case for one is slim to none. Finding parts for these cars are seriously enough to want to buy a bicycle.
Buy the n/t if you're set on a 3k/stealth whatever. Transmissions are cheaper, basically the same motor, still a PITA to work on, so you get the best of both worlds.
