How much boost is too much for a stock 2g turbo???

Just like it says how much is too much???
I ran around for the last year or so in my 95 gst stock motor & head with basic intake pipe, cone filter, hardened upper & lower IC pipes & a shitty MBC set at 18PSI.
Is that called over boosting???
It felt fine no fuel cut.
I raped an older WRX on the MEXICAN closed course from a 40 roll to 100.

Other than obviously driving like and idiot on public roadways, you are just about to the end of the T-25's efficiency. If you're looking for more umph, you'll need a new turbo. People have pushed the stock turbo further, but it basically turns into a hair dryer.

Take some time and read some of the good info on this site. You have a lot to learn. You have a good start.

Overboosting isn't really a precise term. There are 2 forms of overboosting: boost spike, and boost creep. Boost spike is when you punch the gas and the boost spikes then comes back down to your set level. Boost creep is when your wastegate can't bypass enough exhaust and your boost keeps climbing with RPM.

You really need a wideband and a logger to know what's going on. It's a lot to make out of the little turbo and it's a lot for the stock fuel system to handle. Hot air + potentially lean conditions = blown engine. Just because you aren't getting fuel cut doesn't mean nothing is wrong.

Street racing is frowned upon in this forum.

We don't know what's safe for YOUR car. You might be four days from a blown headgasket. You might be at 99% fuel injector duty cycle. Turn the boost down until you get a datalogger and do some boost leak testing/compression testing.

Also, stop racing from a roll. Closed course or not.
