How much flapper movement is enough?

I hooked up the WG actuator, and have tested blowing compressed air into the actuator hose.

It just does not look like it opens the flapper much. I was hoping for more. Is this a thing to fix?

Yeah, looks normal. Back in the day, a common recommendation was to grind away material behind the flapper arm to allow it to open more. Good idea in theory, but turns out the movement of the actuator arm is relatively short, and the actual limiting factor.

I know the grinding you are referring to. I did that on my 2G and EbayE3 turbine housing, not for normal operation, but to allow access to the hole behind the flapper valve with a grinding tool to make a bigger opening.

Thanks Justin, for always keeping me aware of things I need to check before my final assembly. Ive noticed the conflicting opinions on the flapper opening tho, let us know if/what you decided to do.
