He bought a FMIC and bolted it onto the front bumper. no piping, not hooked up at all. just did it for looks. It was even upside down and backwards... When I removed it there was Honda :ohdamn: spray painted on the back of it. Caused the DSM to run hot. Call me a dick all you want, the kid didnt deserve that ride. As I see it the more money I can save on buying a DSM the more I can put into it.

notice the relation between not knowing a shot turbo and no knowing the direction of a FMIC not to mention he used it for looks :ohdamn:
 
$600 for my 1992 eclipse GS with 80K miles. Has very low compression in cylinder 1 but just picked up a reman 2g head for $190. flawless body and no rips, tears or cracking on the interior. Good deal?
 
$2000 cash for my 95 talon tsi 3 years ago. ran for about a year before a peice of busted belt that somehow got into the timing case caused it to jump timing ruining the head and cracking a piston.
 
Here's my list-

1. 1992 Plymouth Laser RS AWD -$1500 (sold)
2. 1992 Eagle Talon TSI AWD -$1100 (bad fuel pump, fixed it, had to move, sold it)
3. 1992 Eagle Talon TSI AWD -$2200 (most expensive dsm I have bought, also, the shortest time owned. Timing was done incorrectly, ended up getting parted out)
4. 1992 Eagle Talon TSI AWD -$1500 (longest owned, someone pulled out in front of me, and it met its end).
5. 1992 Eclipse GSX -$1600 (Most fun dsm I have ever owned. Drove it for a while, oil pump failed, and now its under new ownership and functioning!)
6. 1990 Eclipse GSX -$250 (parts car I paid half of the $500 asking price for. drove it home, thats about it. smoked like a siv).

The 7th dsm I plan on buying, is going to be built ground up, and will be my last one. I have been very picky, as I have had a few already, and only want a couple color combos.
 
1995 eagle talon tsi awd
$0.00 for the car, running, however,
$120 to tow it home
$80 for new clutch hydraulics
$400 for Round tires.
 
1998 gst manual, 165k miles, $3k, couple of weeks ago, red w/black and gray leather, super clean, clear title one owner in texas, bone stock, runs smooth, daily driven for awhile before the re-build :thumb:
 
I would love to see a DSM run all the ropes. Drag, AutoX, Rally, Speed, Daily, Show, Movie, Famous owner, etc.........
And then. End up on Barrett Jackson and go for way more than anyone might have expected. (not way more like certain lime green 420a's)
 
$2,000 - 1990 Eagle Talon TSI AWD with 18in enkei's, new rubber and a brand new black paint job with 120k on the clock in great condition :)
 
$1100 91 plymouth laser 4g63t swap with new problems high idle needed new belts maf isnt hooked up still sorting to fix all these problems i think i overpaid
 
2000 with a few extras included in the deal for a 1990 GSX...to bad i caught the mod bug... :D but :(


Edit: VERY fresh rebuilt motor and a 91 tranny with low miles
