How much damage is too much?

I am looking at buying this 1990 GSX off a guy that lives outside my town. He was hit by a yukon. He told me it still drives fine and there is no engine damage(I haven't looked at the car in person yet), but I told him the most I could give him with this amount of damage is 400 bucks. Now, I'm not sure if anyone will be able to tell frame damage from just this picture, but any opinions on whether this is TOO much damage are greatly appreciated.

Keep in mind I have another car that I will be driving. This car is meant 100% for track purposes, so i will be gutting the interior and pretty much just pounding out most of the quarter panel dents and only replacing the necessities.

Thanks again for looking.

perfect rally car, then you can hammer out the damage when you get more

Lol. That's all the answer I was looking for. To other questions, yes, it would be JUST a track car. Roll cage, whatever, all the necessary safety equip. All I care is how it handles. I mean, obviously I don't want something that's gonna explode, that'd be dumb, but I will take a look at it and give you guys some better pictures tomorrow after I bring it home. Thanks for the help everyone :hellyeah::hellyeah:

youd be stupid not to buy this, i would get this in a heartbeat and strip it down to metal and roll cage it and it'll be my winter car and off road car

If it runs, I would buy it for sure for $400! I may just be biased because I have a perfectly straight Tsi shell sitting in front of my shop. If the two were put together, we would have a really nice car.

If I were you, I would sooner buy a shell to put those parts into, than try to repair that scrapheap. Some guy was giving one away on this site last time I looked.

That car is not worth fixing!!! It is worth buying though. Go get it and then figure out where you'll get a roller to swap parts to. I don't own a 1G anymore but if it were near me i'd still buy it and at least part it out!!
