hello everyone, im from Guatemala so sorry for my grammar....
i have a 1995 gst eclipse and i recently install a manual boost controller, im running on the stock turbo i had 8psi. now has 12psi but i notice that it was taking to much time to achive the 12psi longer then before.

whats the maximun i can get from the stock turbo??
the only mods that the engine have is
the air intake sistem
3" downpipe and the catback exhaust sistem.

i hope you can help me... and if you can give me some pointers on how to upgrade the hp on my car it will be great...

thanks and keep tunnig

thanks, i forgot i have a bov..
and whats the normal time to achive the 16psi?? because i notice the its taking to much time to achive the 12psi im running now..

^^ like he said. About 3000, i spool 15psi on my 14b by 3200rpm. Mine old t25 would hit full boost at 3 about. Check your wastegate however, if you have bent it or crushed it somehow on accident it could be the reason or it could just be a line. Do a boost leak, check and see if you have any then inspect the turbo for shaftplay.

So the most you can safety put out on a stock turbo is around 16 PSI?? Also, I blew the stock engine in my 99 GST and i just put a new one in with around 10,000 miles on it. the boost level was 15PSI on the old engine and now the new one only will boost up to about 6 PSI....anyone know why it does that???

ok i did my BLT and everything was ok, now the turbo in first gear reach 8psi and in second reach 10psi, i havent pay much attention in other gears but i think its irregular.
thats with the boost controller wide open..
did anyone know whats the avarage time in the 1/8 mile??? my car is doing before i put the boost controller with 8 psi 11.20.

i have a 98 gst spyder with full 3" hks exhaust and NX MBC (manual boost controller) and bcs eliminated and fuel pump rewire.
i am running 13 pounds on my stock t-25 turbo... i have heard that you can run 14-18 psi on stock fuel and stock intercooler before you heat soak your intercooler. so i left my boost at 13 psi just to be safe... all cars are different and people have somehow ran 18 psi on stock turbo. 13 psi should be plenty for you until you want to do a turbo upgrade or get a logger and make sure everything checks out okay. i would also do a fuel pump rewire which is really easy and the parts are only like 20 bucks and you will have to do it down the road for a different fuel pump.

First thing I would check is the stock wastegate flapper. As time goes on and the turbine housing heats up and cools down the brass collar that holds the W/G flapper in place starts to "fall out". If you see this happening just grabb a hammer and hammer it back in untill the arm looks like the pic.

the arrow is pointing to the arm you should check.
Hope this helps
