ok im just curious. well im kinda new to the dsm's. been on honda for a while . but i was wondering how much boost a stock engine can hold on the 2g gsx. (4g63). and how much boost can the stock turbo push?

This question has alot of variables, such as state of tune, supporting upgrades, type of turbo, longevity of the engine. I've seen them hold almost 30 psi, and over 20 daily. If your car is stock and don't have supporting upgrades, I would not do more than 14, and the t25 turbo gets out of its range at 16 psi.

Spoolin got it pretty much right. The stock block can handle quite a bit, as long as you have a datalogger and the supporting modifications to run such boost levels.

And once you have a logger, you can keep an eye on how efficient your turbo is at different boost levels to let you know how much boost it responds to best.



In other words, this is bench racing until you have actual numbers to play around with. WE can't tell you what YOUR car will be able to handle and what will cause it to blow a gasket. Good luck!
