how much boost

use the SEARCH BUTTON -- this question has been answered numerous times and opinions very but 400's is what ive read once or twice, and thats the bottom end,, the top end would need to be modified to handle that

boost level is going to depend on the setup. As far as horsepower goes, for a stock 6 bolt, probably in the neighborhood of 500 hp.

I run my stock 6 bolt at 20 psi all day safely. any more and the wear of 106k may start to show. a fresh stock rebuild can hold 25-30 or more. but 400-500 is the general consensus for power. Just dont do what many people do and chalk the car breaking down to a "DSM Reliability Issue" if you push it too far too fast :)

LOL you guys are funny this is a simple question so heres the answer keep adding boost till you here a loud BANG come from under your hood, then you'll know you've added to much! LOL i was jokeing DONT DO THAT!

Honest question... I have an hx35 setup, which i am dropping in tomorrow, will be running 20lbs on stock internals. New everything inside, I did a full OE rebuild... stock bottom end can hold 400-500hp, is that to the wheels or the crank?

500whp+ has been obtained many times, but make sure your tune is spot on at that level.

On a stock 6 bolt you can run "depending on setup" 20 to 22 lbs safely.

+1
On my stock (6-bolt), 160k mile bottom end and trans I run 27 PSI with 50/50 methanol injection on 91 octane (zero knock). ECMLink estimates 373 AWHP and 330 ft-lb torque. I'm confident 400HP is do-able (and reliable) on a stock bottom end with proper mods and TUNING.

sounds good i have v3lite for tuning (yes im a noob so i will get some help with that in the beginning). My goal is 400+ to the wheels with a low 12, high 11 1/4 mile. may have to up the boost and go up to 450awhp but that hopefully wont be a problem.

thanks alot guys.

It all depends on the tune, with a good tune 32PSI should be a good boost level for a stock bottom end.
