how much boost?

hey guys, i have a quick question.

i have a 93 TSI and im about to get a 3" turbo back exhaust, evo3 16g turbo(ported) and use methanol inject. with a 190fuel pump.

i was just wondering, how much boost should i not go past on the 450cc injectors?

um maybe 16 your running all this with out a tune?? I would get 550's

well i dont have the parts yet, getting them very soon, im gonna run it untuned for about 2 weeks to save some money.

so dont go past like roughly 15lbs?

Id say you would have to wait and log it because your adding meth. With no meth, i wouldnt go past 16 maybe 17psi and i would recommend definitely rewiring your fuel pump too. Were you running meth on your previous turbo and can say anything about the logs/boost you were experiencing?

I recommend you get a set of 550s along with your 16g and an safc or some other tuning tool. If you're going to be running untuned i suggest you run boost off the wastegate for the meantime.

You will not know definitively unless you have a wideband. However, most people agree that 15psi is the limit on a mostly stock fuel system.

alright, im still really new to all this dsm stuff. so im just tryin to take it all in and learn.

anyways, my setup ATM is curently stock. im thinking about just putting the 3" turbo back exhaust and 16g on and running stock untill i can get enough money to buy the tuning tools.

Logger, wideband O2 sensor, rewired fuel pump, upgraded fuel pump, injectors, something to tune with.

Get the logger first. Find out what is going on with the car RIGHT NOW before you add other parts.

Then get the other things and start to play with the settings.

He's running meth though, so if he gets something to tune with his boost will be determined by how much meth he's injecting.

Yeah, my friend runs meth on his GN and he had to pull almost 30% fuel out at some points which would make the injectors go further. He would obviously have to just log and tune accordingly.
