Yep, get a logger and check your knock count. 20 psi with that turbo on stock fuel system is just stupid.

can anyone help me with my question? im in desperate need of help

What is your freind using to tune the car? And what size injectors? Sounds like fuel cut to me, and yes this can happen to you, but only if you run a fair amount of boost on the car before getting afc/injectors. Only thing that can fix fuel cut is tricking the ecu with a AFC or somthing like a fuel cut defender or even an eprom chip with no fuel cut.

he didnt have anything tuning the car. he had thrown in the 255 pump, 550 injectors and the 16g turbo. no safc or anything. he ran about 9-10 psi and at 4k he says it was just shutting off on him all the time. i mean my t25 just blew, so i bought the evo 3 16g and i have a 255 pump im gonna put in asap when its out of the shop. i plan on running 9psi with the pump in. and i thought it would suck if it kept on shutting on me like it did to him. so an safc would fix that?

Ask him what does that mean exactly? Engine shuts off? Bogging and stop accelerating? Fuel cut like you literally just hit a wall?

the engine would just shut off on him, he claimed it was beccause the turbo created to much air that the mass air flow couldnt read. that got me extremely confused

I think he's trying to say he has fuel cut but fuel cut usually don't cause your car to shut off completely so his problem is most likely something else.

so does that mean, i can in fact floor my car on low boost and it not shut off on me. like i said ill be running bout 9 pounds. and a 255 fuel pump. i have a blow thru setup already, just not hooked up. :notgood: it will be within a couple weeks. just need a blow thru pipe first. and a logger. should i get an safc as well with it? thanks

Without going back to read every post again.

1. Your car should not shut off like his did unless you have other issues like boost leaks and such.

2. You will need an afpr with the 255.

3. You will not need the safc even with larger injectors because you can tune them with the maft.

So Im guessing that since you are going to be using the blow thru setup, you dont plan on sending me the maf and translator I paid for. If thats the case could you send the the money order back to me so I can get a refund without sending in the receipt, its a lot quicker that way.
