After talking to a couple people on here i realized it would be better to keep the 420a. Now i have another question. If anyone knows anything about engine and cost then can you help. How much am i looking to spend on rebuild and a turbo installed. And thats with everything needed to make car run good not like crap. Thanks for help

Your looking about 1200-1500$ for a turbo kit alone.

To have a shop do all the work, and tuning, added to the cost of parts, probably around $10,000. This is why people say to just buy a gsx/gst.

I got an estimate of 4 grand for buying the turbo kit and then the installation so I can only imagine what it would cost with a rebuild

A lot you can do yourself, thats when you learn, diy, so when it breaks you can go and repair it rather than taking it to a shop, engie rebuilds ok, i can see shops rebuidling it then. It depends on you and your wallet and your goals. I put my car together bit by bit engine, turbo, block and everthing esle for s astock set up under a grand for me.

. Turbo'ing the 420A is really pointless. You wont get as much power, unless you run higher boost, which isnt good for the 420A.
It is was easier, and safer to just buy a turbo'd DSM.
And it would cost you about 800 to turbo it. If you can get hooked up on some stuff.

are you going to upgrade your pistons? for labor on just ## engine they would charge me 700. so everything else is out of your pocket.
