Does anyone know how much air the stock radiator fan flows? I have a 1g. I am only using the main fan (passenger side) but it is too thick, my intercooler piping barely fits because of it. Trying to get a slim fan around the same CFM as the stocker...or I could always get two slim fans and use them. I have an aluminum radiator (CXRacing...same one Punishment sells) and it is thicker than the stock radiator so.....combine the two and yea.

I'm not positive on the air flow, but I know that it's a great fan. I cut part of the shroud to keep it on both my 6152 and my 6262. I also have the stock brass core radiator and since my turbo is oil cooled only, I never get close to operating temp with the 1 fan.

I have always wondered the same thing! I hope someone has a figure!

OEM is usually always the best! I wanted to know the same thing so I can figure out if I can replace the stocker with 14" slim fan plus a 10" or 12" also...

That is what I was afraid to hear. I live in WA. Summer usually isnt excruciating but this past summer there were a couple weeks that were 100. Yes, in WA...figure that one out!

My temp gauge always stays in the middle. Doesnt overheat. I am wondering if I could get away with one or two slim lines if I used Purple Ice or Watter Wetter....thoughts?

Its not the shroud thats too big, its the motor itself. The intercooler coupler pretty much is squished against the edge of the fan motor.

I have a 1g gsx with a huge FMIC and I always used the stock radiator fan + a 12" slim fan for the A/C but in this time the new setup didn't allow me to use the stock radiator fan and a slim fan due to very tight space. Tried many combinations and finally found out the best combination so far is :

- Mishimoto 12" Race Line fan as the radiator fan (thicker than usual slim fan but flows really good)
- eBay's $50 cheap stock replacement radiator (the core is very thin, gives me an extra space)
- Motor cycle fan as the A/C fan (With my setup, there is no space for a 10" or 12" slim fan)
- Turbo blanket for the turbine housing.

With a 180 Degree thermostat, does not exceed 200 degree in the city with traffic, goes down 172-180 degree at cruising. Where I live is super hot, like 115 degree or hotter on the street.
