i have a 97 gst and my clutch is done.... no pedal.... vibrates when its engaging.... and now it wont even go into gear... i work at a shop but i dont know how to do clutches but i am not dumb when it comes to repairing cars either.... so i dont feel like bothering one of the guys at my job to do it... so i wanted to go and do it myself.... i need to know how long will it take..... and also how hard it is to do...

now the other thing is that i think im going to go with an aftermarket stock clutch cus i have no money right now for a high performance clutch... i can get a aftermarket stock clutch through my job at cost so i might slap that on instead of charging my card up and paying it montly... thanks...

sucks :notgood:

If you work at a shop you should definitely be able to do this job. Get a manual if you don't already own one, and follow the instructions, surely since you work at a shop you'll have all of the appropriate tools, and just take you time. NO shortcuts!

If you plan on modifying your car, performance wise, you're really better off to get rides around until you have the $ for an aftermarket clutch, that is made to handle a more powerful engine. If you get a stocker and slap it on, then upgrade turbo, or anything to really add power you'll need something.
