How hard is it to build 1st gear synchros??

ok, my mechanic said my 1st gear synchros are completely gone on my car, about how much would parts cost to get it fixed, not labor, just parts. is this worth it or should i look for another tranny?

A full set of syncros will cost about $160 from TeamRIP.com Call your local dealer to see if you can get only the first gear syncro.

Yeah Concelli motorsports will be able to get you synchros alone. I think they run around $35 each. And it is worth it but its hard to tell until you get in the transmission what else if anything is wrong. The best bet, contact shep racing or what was it... Team RIP or B+M? Can't remember who else but they can hook you up for pretty cheap. They all do great work!

what does your car do, does it grind while trying to shift into first. The syncro itself is 9 bucks but you will need access to a hydraulic press to remove the synchro.
