How far with 91 Octane?

I was wondering if 91 Octane limits you to a certain point in a build as far as power and drivability? I see people upgrade to race gas. Is that a choice or its a necessity for that xxxhp goal? If it limits then what is the limit? Sorry if i am not more specific.

Simple the lower oct of fuel aka knock inducer will not allow you to run alot power such as boost or timing. So your best bet is to retune safely for 91 oct but race gas or e85 is your best bet to make more power and more safe then 91 oct that seems to be only availible in your area. We are not far behind we have 92 oct here but it's ok. Some places have 93 oct and I know cananda has 94 but some places carry e85 stations as well as 100+oct racegas at some states.

Oh ok I understand now. can we run Aviation fuel? I head theres a place that sell some but I am not sure if its still there.

I have a buddy that build airplanes & I ask him about filling up. He told me that AVGas is not the same, specifically even though the have an unleaded it still has a lot more lead in it than unleaded (low lead) for cars. It would kill your cat & O2 sensors really fast. Not a good idea.
