But how does this 1g head look?
Has about 10k miles on it.

Head looks fine for 10k... The light brown to white color that means "lean" is always going to be there on a modern car that utilizes closed loop injection because it's always trimming fuel to get teh perfect burn that leaves the least amount of hydrocarbons behind (that's what the caked black stuff in some motors is)

Are you paranoid about something and just need convincing?


It looks fine, just as any head with 10K would. Hell even heads with 100K look fine to the naked eye.
