How Does A Braided Fuel Line Break?!?!?!

Alright like the title says, someone please tell me what would cause an Aeroquip Braided Stainless Steel Fuel line to burst a little hole right in the middle of line. Mine did that to me today and started a small engine fire so now I have a charded rear corner and need to replace some stuff. There is nothing close to it that could cut it or anything so I dont understand. Any explanations, or could it have just been my bad luck and it was a faulty line.

After I installed my afpr I kept busting normal goodyear fuel lines right where they would bend, so I tried steel braided and busted those also, I ended up getting a Autoclamy fitting so the line is perfectly striat and some higher psi that braided line from a speed shop and it been holding fine every since.
