braided oil return line

i want to share my experience with you guys about the oil return line from extreme psi(the braided one) they send me a 90 degree elbow and a straight fitting, no leaks at all!!! just weld a 1/2 thick washer with the same diameter on the back of the bung and the bung welded to the oil pan. :hellyeah:

Have you ever removed your turbo and tried to install that line? If it's braided steel it can flex more and be less likely to crack. Hell, I'm needing one. I gotta leak somewhere. >..>

no i haven't yet I'm about to put on a 16g. i was justing wondering if it would be worth the money buying it
 
For me it worth the money because i just stripped my oil pan where the 2 bolts of the return line goes, so i just weld like the bung that comes with the kit with a 1/2 inch spacer in the back so the line does not kink at all.:thumb:
 
I just got the same kit, works really well. Now im just having a problem with it not draining fast enough. I seen the ends of the fitting were alot smaller than the openings. Could you possible make it bigger without any effects?
 
I got the oil feed kit from them, and it worked wonders. As for the return kit, I think its a good idea since the stock one cannot flex and often times leads to cracking of the line or the fittings at the ends.
 
leakage is pretty typical of the fixed non-flex return lines. Think of it this way, if your motor moves even a half inch during WOT and your line is a fixed, non-flex line your putting all of that torsion stress on a straight piece that isn't supposed to move, so your inevitably going to have leakage. I would personally go with a flex line to reduce stress on it, because that's a part that you really don't want breaking or snapping off during normal operation.
 
Yea u do have a real tiny leak but it was better than the stock one pouring it out. Im thinking its not draining fast enough and choking up. I will see if i can get a picture of the hole. Its a alot smaller
 
not sure if you can re-thread the old port to take a larger fitting? since it seems like that's where your plug up is coming from. I've never heard of anyone having to port to return oil line fitting due to hold up issues, but i'm sure you wouldnt be the first. Lets wait for any of the normal guys say anything on it before you start tinkering, there may be an easier solution (like buying a bigger brass connector or adapter) to free up flow.

NOt to argue, but if you thnk about it, the engine, return line and turbo all move together, the line never gets stressed untill you're working on it
