I am having problems getting this line off of the filter housing, the big hex head is a 19mm, and the little one is an 11mm i think, but it seems that if you try to loosen the 19mm one, it will go, but the line gets twisted, so i didnt do that, and when you try to loosen the 11mm one, it justs seems like it is going to strip the hex head off, so i dont know what to do, unless i should travel up the line a bit and loosen a connection there right below the turbo basically, or else right off of the top of the turbo? i need to disconnect this line so i can take the housing off, and get the oil pump cover off.

Ok here's what I did. I used a 11mm flare nut wrench and took off the little fitting inside the larger fitting. Then you take off the big fitting with a regular wrench. I swear I would have rounded out the entire smaller fitting if I didn't use a flare nut wrench. It's rather simple. Just do one at a time.
I tried taking off the big fitting with the smaller one still attached and it didn't budge. Then I took off the little one first without any problems and then the big one came out without any problems too. It's weird.

Dont bother trying to save the hard line, it will crack or tear. Cut the hard line and take off the large fittng. Order yourself a Braided StainlessSteel oil feed line($25@Slowboy), it will make the install/removal of your turbo and oil filter housing allot easier in the future.

is the oil feed line you are talking about the -4AN Stainless Steel Oil Feed Line in the
HOME > DSM > Turbos > Installation Accessories > General Accessories part of SBR?

if your doing a turbo swap then just keep twisting it till it breaks. use stainless steel line like mentioned above. itll be better off for you.

is that line from slowboy going to replace the whole line (coming off the top of the bearing section of the turbo and going all the way to the filter housing)?? Or is it just going to replace it to the joint a little bit below the turbo? they sell 18 and 24 inch ones i believe. I just twisted it and broke the line.

If this is the kit you are reffering to then yes, this kit will replace the entire oil feed line from the turbo to the filter housing. It has all the fittings and peices you need for a easy, clean install.

you could get that line or just buy fittings thatll cost you a few bucks. i always try to find ways thatll save me money BUT STILL do a right job at end.

but yea if you dont mind paying 50 bux itll bolt right up no problem.

what are you doing that you need to take it off btw? turbo swap? if so which turbo?

haha no turbo swap....yet, but i just needed to get the filter housing off so i can get the oil pump cover off to pull the balance shafts.
