I know dumb question, is there a specific pattern to follow if you want to lock the doors without setting the factory alarm? I tried a couple but didn't yield anything. On my first talon it only set if you locked the driver side first while it was shut. Or better yet how to remove it? Thanks.

I'm willing to bet one of the switches, or switches connections are broken off of the end of the key cylinder lock.

Could be the hood one too.

If you have a digital multimeter, you can try testing the wires coming into the car from the door boot for one that rests at +12V and goes to ground when you turn the key to "lock" in the lock cylinder. This should be your "factory alarm arm" wire. You could try cutting that wire and seeing if your alarm still arms. *NOTE* I was able to find the colors for "factory alarm disarm" on the directed electronics website, but not any information on the "arm" wire. It may not have one, and may arm on lock.

If all else fails, I know that the factory alarm on my 2G is behind the drivers side rear seat panel.

Hope that helps!
