How do i wire this thing?

Ok hers a pic so you know what im talking about. this should be a 3 wire correct? ground singal power? if so where do i ground it to one of the nuts on the outer side? i want to connect it to the stock wiring so it will work with the stock fuel gague thanks for the input and help!

The Fuel level signal is usually a just a variable resistor that changes resistance depending on the amount of fuel in the tank.

In the case of the DSM the resistance is lowest when the fuel tank is full and highest when tank is empty. There are two wires; one side of the stock wiring goes to ground and the other goes to the gauge in the instrument cluster.

I am not familiar with the fuel cell you are using but I would suggest testing the signal with a multi meter to see what the resistance readings are for both full and empty conditions. You can also test against the stock unit if you have one available to make sure they match… if they do then you can just hook it into the stock harness connector and you are done.
