How do i go about repairing a pinch weld from heavy rust?

The only way to fix bad rust is to cut out the cancer and replace it with new steel.

+1. One method is to cut it out and use as a template. Bring that cutout piece to a junkyard and outline what you need. Cut out your new piece from the donor car---->weld back on to your car.

If you don't have the skills to put it back on your car, at least try to get the new metal piece from the donor car. Drop it off, along with your car, to any body shop and they should be able to install it and refinish it to look pretty.
