how do i remove my dipstick?

I'm in the process of trying to drill out exhaust manifold studs and the dipstick is in the way. I alrea?dy took off the one bolt I can see is there anything else or does it just pull out

It should just pull straight up out of the block if you've removed the bracket bolt. It's a tight fit sometimes.

Be sure not to bend it as your pulling free from the block.

This. There is a small o-ring at the bottom of the dipstick tube. If its rock hard i would replace it. Its probably just dirt and oil just hardened in there from over the years making it hard to pull out.

Might want to remove the dipstick from the tube so you don't damage the end while you're pulling. Mine flew out of my hands and across the garage when I removed it, it was stuck on there pretty well.
